10-days of Prayer – Day 1

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him” (1 John 5:14-15)

Morning by morning, as the heralds of the gospel kneel before the Lord and renew their vows of consecration to Him, He will grant them the presence of His Spirit, with its reviving, sanctifying power. As they go forth to the day’s duties, they have the assurance that the unseen agency of the Holy Spirit enables them to be “laborers together with God” (Acts of the Apostles, p. 56).

For those that are following me and praying along with me for the next 10 days I will posted the videos for each day. Pastor Mark Finley speaks on the experience of the disciples as they spent time waiting for the Holy Spirit to come upon them.

During my journey I am using as a study guide Pastor Finley’s book “10 Days in the Upper Room. Along with my prayers for today I also prayed for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the following people:

  • church leaders
  • parents
  • children/youth
  • teachers
  • pastors
  • missionaries

Tomorrow, I will share more of my experiences as I travel this prayer journey.
